About this service

Application interface design is different from marketing website design in one important way: the user has already committed. They signed up. They are not deciding whether to engage. They are trying to get something done. The design job is to help them do that rather than obstruct them.

Most application UI problems are not caused by bad aesthetics. They are caused by bad structure. Screens that mix too many things. Navigation that does not match how users think about the product. Actions buried under options that most users will never use. Fixing these problems requires understanding how the product is actually used before touching the visual layer.

Information architecture first

Before any visual design, we map the information architecture: what screens exist, how they connect, what actions are available on each, and what states each screen can be in. Getting this right before designing the visual layer is what prevents the common failure mode of a product that looks polished in a screenshot but confuses users the moment they try to actually use it.

Component systems

Application interfaces have too many screens to design each one from scratch. The solution is a defined component system: a set of tables, cards, buttons, inputs, modals, and notification patterns designed once and applied consistently across the entire product. We design that system as part of every App Interface project, which means the handoff includes not just the screens we designed but the building blocks for every screen you add afterward.
